Hey everybody. Welcome to episode 21.

Today, we’re going to talk about something fun I’ve got for you coming up. It’s a free 7 day challenge that I’m hosting to help you follow your meal plan. It’s going to be Sunday, March 14th through Saturday, March 20th. Make sure you mark your calendars now if you want to join. And at the end of this episode, I’ll tell you exactly how to join.

I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while now. And last week, I decided to go for it.

So, I sent an email to all of my clients and everyone on my email list, and asked them if they were still interested in losing weight. And if they were, what challenge would they be most interested in participating in.

The options I gave them were, option 1, a 7 day challenge on following your meal plan. And option 2, a 7 day challenge on doing your daily self-coaching.

I received many answers back. And I want to say thank you to everyone who responded. I really appreciate you taking the time to do that.

And a special thank you to those of you who responded with kind words about me, my podcast, my teachings, my programs, and just super kind words about everything I’m doing here in my coaching practice. All of those responses made me smile and they made my week. I really appreciate every single one of you.

It was interesting to read the answers I got back, specifically the answers about the challenge topic. I was almost positive most people would want the meal plan challenge.

But out of the people who responded, it was actually about half and half. About half wanted the meal plan challenge and the other half wanted the self-coaching challenge.

So, I’ve decided to host this first free 7 day challenge on following your meal plan. And I’m considering hosting another 7 day challenge in the future focused on doing your daily self-coaching.

So, stay tuned for that one.

But for today, I want to talk to you about the one I’m doing this month, in March 2021. 

It’s the 7 day challenge on following your meal plan.

Now, you might be wondering what triggered me to want to do this in the first place. And there’s a few answers to that.

First, I think challenges can be really fun.

Second, I think challenges can provide that initial bit of motivation, that boost we need, to get started or get going in the direction we want to go.

And third, I really want to introduce you, and anyone who decides to participate in this, in a new way of approaching your meal plan and a new way of getting yourself to genuinely want to follow it.

So, that’s what I’m going to do. Those are my goals for this challenge.

To have fun, to motivate you, and to show you a new way of approaching this weight loss stuff.

If you started this year with a New Year’s Resolution to lose weight or just a goal to lose weight, where are you with that goal right now?

Are you still super motivated and doing it?

Are you losing motivation but still doing it, sort of?

Or is your motivation gone and are you feeling frustrated?

If you’re super motivated and still doing it, you don’t need this challenge. But feel free to join anyways just for fun.

And if you’re losing motivation or you feel like your motivation is gone, I want to invite you to join this challenge. You’ll have fun, you’ll get that boost you need to get started or keep going, and you’ll learn a new way of approaching weight loss.

If you’ve been listening to my podcast for a while, then you already know that I help people get out of the diet mentality. I help them get out of that short term, quick fix mentality. And I help them think about and approach things with the long term in mind. To me, this starts with making gradual changes.

So, depending on where you are now with your eating, your meal plan for this challenge may have hamburgers and tacos on it. Who cares?

In this challenge, it’s not about what you’re eating exactly. It’s about getting you started where you are now. Teaching you how to honor your plan, your decisions, your choices, by eating what’s on the plan you’ve created in advance. It’s about showing up for yourself and doing what you say you’re going to do. It’s about having your own back.

These are the most important things you can focus on in the beginning. Your relationship with yourself and honoring your decisions.

The food itself can be gradually changed over time. The food is less important in the beginning.

This is exactly what I teach inside my online course The 6 Stages Weight Loss Program and it’s exactly what I teach my private coaching clients. So, of course, it makes sense that this is exactly what I’m going to teach you too in this 7 day challenge.

We may only have 7 days together, unless you decide to join my program sometime in the future, but there’s a lot we can get done in 7 days. There’s a lot of things I can teach you that’ll help you approach weight loss differently than you have in the past. And, like I said, my approach is designed to create long term change inside of you. Not short term, quick fixes.

Here’s how it’s going to work.

All you need to do is get on my email list. We’ll do the entire challenge together that way.

A few days before we begin, like between March 11th and 13th, you’ll receive simple instructions on what you need to do to get started. The preparation you’ll need to do. You know, creating your meal plan, buying your groceries, food prep, that kind of stuff.

And during the 7 day challenge, which will be March 14th through the 20th, you’ll receive one email a day with either a short video, a short audio, or just an email with text. And that email will have the motivation you need to not only get through the day following your plan, but really start to shift the way you approach and think about your plan.

It’s going to be incredible. Probably unlike any challenge you’ve done in the past. So, get on my email list.
