Hey, everybody. Welcome to episode 54.

Today, we’re going to do something a little different. A little different than I’ve ever done on this podcast before. It’s going to be a pretty short episode. But I’m going to take you through something you can do to feel awesome right now.

So, the day that this episode comes out is Thanksgiving day. And if you celebrate Thanksgiving, you might be feeling stressed or overwhelmed or just kind of a little out of control right now. And this episode is going to help you realign yourself and feel awesome right now.

But if you’re listening to this episode and it is not Thanksgiving day or a holiday or anything like that, that’s ok too. Use this episode as something you come back to again and again for a quick fix, like a quick hit for how to feel awesome right now. Ok?

Now, when I think about an affirmation or a mantra, I think about something I repeat to myself over and over again, like a sentence that I say to myself over and over again, that I might not believe fully in the moment. And I don’t always think that mantras or affirmations are a good thing. I don’t always think they’re a helpful thing to do.

But I do believe that if you want to start changing the way you’re thinking, if you want to intentionally start having better thoughts, then you have to stretch your mind a little bit. Stretch your brain a little bit to start looking at those thoughts that are just out of reach. You know, something you believe a little bit but not fully yet. So, that’s what we’re going to do today.

In this episode today, I’m going to take you through a series of thoughts that are very helpful to me. They are thoughts that I fully believe in my life right now. But they’re thoughts that you might not fully believe yet. You might believe a little bit or not at all. I don’t know. But they’re something that can really help you feel awesome right now. Sort of snap back into reality and realign yourself and find that balance, that empowerment, that you need in the moment.

So, let’s just dive right in. Ok. Here’s some of my favorite thoughts that I’m going to share with you today.

I am choosing how to spend my day.

I want to spend my day doing this.

I have full control over my time and my day.

I want to spend my time with these people today.

I have everything I need in this moment right now.

I don’t need anything else to make me happy.

I want what I already have.

I’m going to show up as my best self today.

I cannot control what anybody else thinks, feels, or does.

Other people cannot control me.

I am so proud of myself today.

I will stick to my plan today.

I will allow myself to feel all of my feelings today. Even the ones I don’t like.

I’m an example to my kids, my husband, and everyone else in my life of someone who loves herself. Someone who fights for herself. Someone who does what she says she’s going to do.

Today, I love this about myself. (Make sure you answer what “this” is for you.)

Things in my life, like physical, material things, do not make me feel better.

Only I can make myself feel better with my thinking.

The things on my to-do list today are choices. And I get to decide if I’ll do them or not.

I choose my attitude today.

Nobody else in my life can make me feel a certain way.

Only I can make myself feel a certain way.

They are just being themselves.

I am just going to be myself today. 

I’m not going to pretend to be anybody else but me.

One step at a time.

I don’t need to do it all.

And I’ll end on one final one, which is one I already said, but it’s really a helpful thought for me. So I want to include it twice here.

I have everything I need in this moment right now.

I am sufficient.
